On July 17, 2025, the Association of European Businesses (AEB) held a dynamic open event hosted by Kept at their Moscow office. The conference brought together leading experts from the public and private sectors to discuss pressing issues in international taxation and court practice.
The event commenced with opening remarks from AEB CEO Tadzio Schilling and Nina Goulis, Chairperson of the AEB Taxation Committee and Partner at Kept. The first session focused on managing tax risks in international transactions involving intermediaries and payment agents. It featured contributions from high-level officials of the Federal Tax Service of Russia and top tax consultants, offering in-depth insights into structuring transactions and handling tax compliance effectively.The second session delved into current court practices and rising risks in intragroup transactions. Participants examined real case studies and recent litigation trends, with a focus on asset transfers and digital advertising.
The day concluded with a high-profile plenary session titled “Tax Legislation Development in 2025: Dialogue on What Matters,” which featured prominent representatives from the Ministry of Finance, Federal Tax Service, and the State Duma. The session fostered a forward-looking dialogue on the evolving tax landscape. The event wrapped up with a buffet and networking session, allowing participants to connect and exchange professional perspectives.
