Andreas Bitzi re-elected Chairman of the AEB’s SME Committee and Deputy Chairman of the AEB’s Northwestern Regional Committee.
Andreas Bitzi, owner and director of Quality Partners, has been re-elected as Chairman of the Association of European Businesses’ (AEB) SME Committee and as Deputy Chairman of the AEB’s Northwestern Regional Committee.
Andreas has been Chairman of the Small and Medium Sized Enterprises Committee for the last two years. The committee supports and promotes the interests of the AEB’s SMEs. In 2020 and 2021, the main focus was on business support measures during the pandemic. At the moment, the focus is on information on the many sanctions and measures introduced since February of the current year and business support measures for SME that are under pressure by the sanctions. Foreign owned SMEs in Russia tend to continue their activities as much as it is legal and logistically possible.
As for the Northwestern Regional Committee of the AEB, Andreas has been a member of the Steering Group since 2012. He was Chairman of the Regional Committee between 2016 and 2020 and Deputy Chairman of the Committee for the last two years. The Committee represents the interests of the AEB members in the Northwest Region of Russia, mainly St. Petersburg, Leningrad Region, Pskov and Novgorod Region.
