Business Solutions Partners @ JCC flagship conferences in Zurich and Lugano
BSP took part in the flagship conferences “Trade & Investment in Central Asia and the South Caucasus – Opportunities in a Realigning World” of JCC Joint Chambers of Commerce in Zurich and Lugano.
The event in Lugano took place at Camera di Commercio, dell’industria, dell’artigianato e dei servizi del Canton Ticino Cc-Ti, the Zurich event took place at Everllence Schweiz AG.
The countries of Central Asia and South Caucasus are pursuing a delicate balancing act. On one hand, they are strengthening cooperation within the region itself—deepening coordination across multiple areas such as energy, transport, digitalization, and security.
On the other, they remain open to engagement with global powers, navigating their relationships with China, Russia, Turkey, the Gulf and the West to preserve autonomy while maximizing opportunities. This strategy is reshaping the regional landscape and creating new avenues for international business.
For Switzerland, where exports account for roughly 50–60% of Switzerland’s GDP, this represents not only challenges but also new opportunities for cooperation in energy, logistics, digitalization, and finance.
🔑 Highlights from the event:
Geopolitical outlook: Christopher J. Weafer, Macro-Advisory Ltd. outlined how Central Asia/South Caucasus are balancing relationships with major powers while strengthening sovereignty and intraregional cooperation.
