The first ‘Connecting Eurasia Dialogue’, Brussels
The AEB supported event was organised by the Association Conoscere Eurasia and Roscongress. The discussions were on standards for sustainable infrastructure planning, technical operational standards, regional development in a Eurasian context from the Atlantic to the Pacific.
Among the speakers were Romano Prodi, former Prime Minister of Italy and former President of the European Commission, Alexander Pankin, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. From the Association of European Businesses, Philippe Pegorier, member of the Board, led a discussion session on connection of Eurasia in practice. Frank Schauff, CEO of the AEB, made closing remarks to the conference. Andreas Bitzi, chairman of the AEB in the Northwest, was among the around >200 participants mainly from Belgium, Italy and Eurasian countries.
