AEB event at Danone on Corporate Social Responsibility
18 June, the Association of European Businesses held an event on Corporate Social Responsibility at the Danone plant in St. Petersburg.
The event was opened by some words by Evgenia Falkova, Corporate Affairs Director at Danone, and Dmitry Belikov, Branch Director at Danone, Elena Novosoleva, Deputy Chair of the Steering Group of the AEB in NW Russia / Chair of the HR & Migration Subcommittee and Director at Coleman, as well as Andreas Bitzi, Chairman of the AEB in Northwest Russia / Managing Partner at Quality Partners.
Elena also acted as the moderator of the event.
All the above pointed out how important it is to do something for the society and the responsibility we all have to go beyond just generating profits.
Anna Lisinenko from Danone gave insights in the initiative of the company connected to environmental/recycling issues. Julia Bogdanova from KPMG presented the CSR initiatives they have in place supporting disabled children and their families. Ikea followed with a short presentation of their recycling initiatives.
Finally, the participants were given an opportunity to have a look at the plant, following strict hygiene and safety guidelines.
As a matter of course, there was also an opportunity to enjoy some of the delicious products of Danone.
